Granite Hills Hospital offers high-quality, patient centered behavioral health care for the greater Milwaukee community. Our 120-bed facility features evidence-based treatment for adolescents, adults, and older adults.


We are looking for looking for Mental Health Technicians to join our new team.


Mental Health Technicians function as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging from adolescent through geriatrics.

Qualifications

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) position requires:


Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.


Experience:
Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.


Licensure:
Must maintain a valid driver’s license in Wisconsin.


Additional Requirements:
Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation. MHT’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and flexible hours.
