ResponsibilitiesMental Health Specialist (MHS) OpportunityThis position works within our Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital which offers military-specific care to first responders, service members, veterans and dependents at the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital. The Mental Health Specialist is a key member of the Northstar Behavioral Health Team who is responsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders ensuring the safety and well being of patients by supporting the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.

QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: MHS I: High School Diploma required. 0-4 years experience in the mental health field. Or, currently enrolled in degree program in the areas of Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, etc. MHS II: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, human services or related field preferred; or 4 years of experience in a mental health role; or combination of education and experience totaling a minimum of 4 years.
