Responsible for direct care services including completing a psycho-social history on every client admitted to the BHU; providing individual, group and family therapy for clients admitted to the BHU; participating in daily multidisciplinary team meetings and initiating Individualized Treatment Plans for clients; working with the unit staff to facilitate involuntary commitment procedures; coordinating discharge planning (beginning at client's admission.) Responsible for accurate documentation and maintaining complete records. Minimum Education Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Minimum Work Experience One (1) year of experience providing mental health and substance abuse services. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Handle With Care required within 90 days of hire. First Aid Licenses: North Carolina Licensure in Field of Degree Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
