Title: Medication Technician
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
Shift: FT and PT available

Job Summary:

  • Administer and document regularly prescribed medications to residents in accordance with the Resident Care Plan
  • Order medication from the pharmacy when necessary and/or by the request of the Director of Health and Wellness
  • Monitor orders to ensure on time delivery keeping Director of Health and Wellness updated within 12 hours of delivery
  • Reports any resident reactions to medication being administered to the Director of Health and Wellness
  • Be able to perform job responsibilities in an outside/inside environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Medication Technician experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one-year prior experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and relate well to residents
  • CPR certification a plus
  • Excellent bedside manner
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with an electronic health record system
  • Fluent in the English Language
