Job Summary The Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) performs and monitors various medical laboratory analyses of patient specimens to provide accurate test results for confirming clinical diagnoses and treatment therapies. The MT/MLS complies with regulatory requirements by following established procedures and protocols in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and meet accreditation standards. The MT/MLS works effectively as a team member within the department and with other departments to provide quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in related field of Science, preferably from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology. AND Experience: Prior training in a laboratory setting (student training accepted). Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
