Medical Technologist / MT

PRN (As Needed)
Position Summary:
The Medical Technologist (MT) maintains a high level of quality work; performs various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares tissue for microscopic examination, hematology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, chemical and morphological examinations. Assumes responsibility for problem solving and quality control.
Education:
Bachelor Degree Applied Science in Medical Technology
Experience/License/Certification Required:
Current license and Medical Technologist (MT) certification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
