Medical Receptionist/Patient Registrar FULL TIME (33-39 Hours per Week) Details

We are a fast-paced *Urgent Care, Sports Medicine and Primary Care* Medical Clinic. We are looking for energetic, outgoing, dependable front desk receptionists that enjoy going out of their way to help others. Need to know how to multi-task, handle multiple phone lines, have adequate computer skills, and can handle stress appropriately. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required. Competitive Pay. Summary: Oversees administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and provider schedules, file management, and office organization. This position includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, compassion, and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes but is not limited to the following:

· Greets patients upon arrival

· Provides patients with appropriate intake forms, office policies, HIPAA information, and any other legally required documents

· Registers patients by verifying and updating demographic information, accurately entering computer data, obtaining insurance information, and any other necessary information to provide care

· Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle callers' need

· Accurately receives messages and delivers them to appropriate parties or initiates phone messages in the EMR for response by clinical staff

· Answers questions about Medallus and provides callers with address, directions, and other requested information

· Schedules appointments by obtaining and inputting all required information

· Processes payments for co-pays, membership dues/fees, collection accounts, and uninsured visits

· Promotes Medallus Membership Program/Enrolls patients

· Clerical duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, faxing, and maintaining hard copies of patient records as well as records stored in EMR

· Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and assist in scheduling testing or off-site services

· Maintains a clean and organized work environment

· Provides patients with support and guidance as needed

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-year of Clinical related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients and other associates of the organization.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
