POSITION SUMMARY: Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. The Medical Office Assistant in Pediatrics is cross trained to work as MOA and FOA. Primary role is MOA but can fill in as FOA. Pediatrics is a 6 Provider practice seeing patients age 0 to college age. We have scheduled patients from 0700-5 and offer walk-in services for acutes Monday-Friday 1630-1730. We have Saturday hours from 8-1200
Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or GED equivalent Experience: Minimum of six months experience with computer, Microsoft Office and email Minimum of 6 months health care facility clinical experience or clinical education(including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record Some knowledge of medical terminology Licensure/Certifications ?
