Bloom Medicinals is one of the country's largest family-owned cannabis companies. We provide safe, effective, top-quality cannabis products that improve patients’ lives. Currently licensed in five states to grow, manufacture and/or dispense medical marijuana products for adult and pediatric patients, we are expanding rapidly as we continue to earn new state licenses and gain recognition as a trusted resource in this evolving space.
We are looking for a Security Associate to protect our premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. Position reports to the General Manager of dispensary location and Corporate Head of Security.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of guest intake and ID verification procedures and protocols
- Monitor CCTV and review video surveillance
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the public to facilitate problem-solving of stressful situations with calm and open judgment
- Ability to identify potential problems, analyzes issues, and propose solutions
- Knowledge of safety, health and security protocols
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the dispensary’s guests
- Professionally manage any situation within the store that is deemed by management as requiring security interdiction
- Immediately contact local law enforcement or other emergency services when required by management or situation requires immediate action.

- Must be able to work for long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, working on your feet and bending over with minimal supervision.
- Candidates should be motivated and hardworking, attendance is critical.
- Reliable Transportation is a must.
- Must be a team player.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Familiar with PC programs
- Familiar with queueing systems, specifically WaitWhile
- Trained security officer with licensing preferred
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift (12-8 or close)

Experience:
- Security: 1 year
- Dispensary: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Maryland agent license
- Must be able to get licensing and pass background check
