Overview: Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for testing in the laboratory and report results according to SOP. The shift is 7am to 3pm and every third weekend.Responsibilities: 1. Perform testing in the laboratory and report results according to SOP.
2. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.
3. Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP.
4. Maintain and manage laboratory inventory.
5. Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team.
6. Maintain competencies and continuing education.Qualifications:Education:1. Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation.
2. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.Requirements:Previous laboratory experience preferred, but not necessary; new graduates welcome.
