We Are Hiring: Job Title: Phlebotomist/ Lab Assistant Work Schedule:Part time hours 20 hours/week M-F (2-3 days) 0400-0800 or 0700-1100 and rotating weekend and holidays.0400-1230 Location: 6901 Medical Pkwy

What You Will Do: Collect and process blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions.

• Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
• Receive, centrifuge, accession, process, and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.
• Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders.
• Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of
  Noncoverage (ABN), data entry, and filing.

What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred.
• Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
• Phlebotomy Tech preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
• Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, all issuing authorities, preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
