The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of management of multidisciplinary teams, management in a complex multi-entity environment, ability to serve as a mentor to trainees, junior faculty and staff, and ability to integrate continuous quality improvement programs. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant.
Teaching responsibilities may include mentoring and educating cardiovascular and advanced heart failure fellows, medical resident, surgical residents and medical students.
Clinical responsibilities may include leadership of the mechanical circulatory support program including inpatient, outpatient and shared care programs as well as active participation in the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant clinical program.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include supervising and/or participating in the clinical and translational research in the area of mechanical circulatory support and advanced heart failure.
