Rapidly growing National medical billing company specializing in Work Comp and Personal Injury claims, located in New York City looking for a motivated and detail oriented, Medical Billing and Collection Specialist with at least two years’ experience billing medical insurance claims preferably with Work Comp and Personal Injury specific experience.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Calling and processing of WC and PI prescription claims
- Unpaid claims follow up and tracking
- Follow up with our doctor clients, insurance companies and attorneys as necessary.
- Incorrect payment EOB review.
- Filing appeals with insurance companies on coding errors
Required Skills & Experience:
- Great people and phone skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with particular knowledge of Excel
- Experience and proficiency with medical billing software
- Experience working in HIPAA dictated environment
- Ability to spend most of the time on the phone requesting additional payment on claims processed incorrectly.
