----SIGN ON BONUS--- Job description Health Care Associates is a stable (20+ years) long term, medical billing–hospital outsourcing agency conveniently located off 395 at Edsall Road in the Alexandria/Springfield area. Our main focus is in assisting our hospital clientele and their patients with insurance billing and follow up issues. The hospitals we service are based in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. area. Currently we have an immediate opening with benefits for a full-time Medical Billing Top Tier Representative to join our insurance billing and follow up department. Qualified applicants will possess the following: Specific Duties: · Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. · Follow up on all financial classes of outstanding aged insurance receivables to include filing of appeals. · Review and assess adjudicated claims for timely and proper payment. Qualifications: · Superior organizational skills. · No less than one year experience in a hospital patient financial services office. Familiar with Facility claims in addition to some physician claims. · Experience with patient communications. · Ability to clearly document all actions on account history notes. · Knowledge of EPIC, SMS and Meditech helpful. · Candidates will be tested on their knowledge and ability.
