Clinic Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant will assist the doctor and patients with their needs as well as possess good organizational skills, customer service skills, and medical terminology skills. This position will be full time. Duties and Responsibilities Verifying and collecting patient information to maintain an accurate medical record Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs (weight, height, BP, SPO2, and temperature) Venipuncture processing blood, and/or other substances for shipping to contracted lab Injections – IM or Sub Q Wound care knowledge Assisting with procedures as needed (ear flush, suture removal, PAP) Maintain a list of supplies and give to Manager for reordering Sterilization of equipment Maintain an accurate Medication inventory Clerical work as needed: answering phones, inputting and updating patient information in EMR Communicate lab and x-ray results with physicians and patients Work with chiropractor in rooming patient, getting equipment and supplies ready if needed Other duties that may apply to a clinic setting Working with the Wellness Coordinator with wellness programs Skills and Specifications Good customer service skills Critical thinking skills Injection Skills Phlebotomy Skills Communication skills Medical terminology Willing to work in an industrial setting Nutritional background or willing to learn Education High School Diploma or equivalent Medical training beyond high school (EMT, Nursing - 5 years)
