POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with study participants to schedule and confirm appointments
• Communicate with study participants to complete phone interviews for the study
• Assist with recruitment of new study participants
• Administer study participant interview questionnaires including attainment of consent
• Perform basic vital signs (BP, Weight, Height)
• Perform study procedures as prescribed by the study protocol with training (ECG, BIA, FibroScan, Pulmonary Function Test) Assist study’s Nurse Practitioner as needed
• Perform phlebotomy
• Process all study specimens as needed
• Transport study specimens to outside lab as needed
• Data entry
• Complete other related research and laboratory duties as needed
• Assist Senior Research Specialist with lab inventory
• Report directly to Study Coordinator

• Associate's degree or equivalent skills and experience required.
• License/Certification as a Phlebotomist technician, Nursing Assistant, and/or Medical Assistant required
• Knowledgeable in basic computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required

The Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) / Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS) Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS) is a collaborative research effort that aims to understand and reduce the impact of chronic health conditions—including heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders—that affect people living with HIV.
