IBJI has more than 20 locations throughout Chicago and the suburbs. IBJI currently has a full time opening for a CMA to float between our Park Ridge and DesPlaines locations.

Job Duties:
- Manage clinic tasks to optimize physician efficiency including patient intake, orders, procedure prep, patient teaching and clinic flow management
- Obtaining patient history and vital signs
- Preparing and maintaining the examination and procedure rooms
- Assisting with examinations, procedures and treatments (i.e. applying casts, removing sutures)
- Work with teammates to ensure best possible patient care and experience
- Triaging and responding to patient phone calls, including pre and post operative surgical patients
- Documenting information in patient records
- Gathering and managing necessary documents (i.e. medical record, test results)
- Administering medications, as permitted by law
- Recognizing and responding to emergencies
- Coordinating patient care information with other health care providers
- Educating/instructing patients regarding their medical condition, treatments, medications and other appropriate information
- Ensuring availability of supplies and proper operation of equipment in the examination and procedure rooms
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Completing other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Physician and/or Clinical Staff Manager
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited certification program
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Able to function as a team leader
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record information
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients and staff in all levels of the organization
- Able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
- Capable of prioritizing and organizing information to achieve a smooth flow of tasks
- Ability to interpret and explain an extensive variety of instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a changing scheduling environment and accommodate the needs of the practice
- Previous orthopaedic or spine experience preferred
