Certified Medical Assistant: An endocrinology practice in Sugarland, Texas is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with excellent organizational, clinical, and customer service skills. Also looking for someone with a charismatic personality who is professional.
Primary Responsibilities:
- All duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant
- Rooming patients, taking vitals and history
- Recording patient care documentation in an electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner
- Assisting physician with procedures
- Scanning patient information/records
- Checking faxes daily
- Organizing exam and treatment rooms, stocking and cleaning rooms, and sterilizing instruments
- Front office responsibilities: Answering phones, Scheduling appointments, Greeting patients, Insurance verification, Check-in and check-out, obtaining prior authorizations if needed and Patient collections, obtaining faxes and attaching in the EMR
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
- Preferred Experience in Endocrinology
- Highly proficient computer skills including experience with electronic medical records, practice management systems, and Microsoft Office
- EMR/PMS experience a plus
- Bilingual is preferred but not necessary
