Overview: Now offering a $1,500 sign on bonus for Medical Assistant new hires! Effective October 19, 2021 and expires April 30, 2022. Applicable only for MA positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices, of which this role applies to.
The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MA demonstrates compentency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains, and calibrates all equipment. Must be willing to perform job standards and provide excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors in a manner consistent with Mercy Medical Centers' Service Excellence Standards, Mission, and Values. Responsibilities: This position provides assistance in both front and back office duties and provides Medical Assistant job duties in our Physician Practice's, Centers of Excellence and/or other assigned areas. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
