The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative duties under the direction of the clinical staff. Also, under the direction of the Physician Assistant and/or Registered Nurse, additional duties include assisting with clinical procedures and physical examinations, and other occupational health services as needed.Responsibilities:- Provides telephone/receptionist duties with ability to effectively communicate information regarding health services provided and procedures associated with same; schedules patient appointments; maintains administrative files and confidential medical records; types correspondence, reports, purchase orders for non-HHS supplies; orders office supplies; and performs related health unit administrative/clerical duties.
- Assists Health Unit staff in administration of Covid-19 Testing program. Will need to administer Rapid Response Covid-Testing, and assist with administrative duties for tracking results and other Covid Testing adminsitrative assignments.

Qualifications:- Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of One (1) full year of recent full-time employment experience as a Medical Assistant in an occupational setting
- Certification in an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Be able to clearly and effectively communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.
- Working knowledge of computers
