Job Details Job Purpose: Actively and efficiently manage patient flow, pre-visit chart medical record preparation and information gathering to optimize the visit, participate in team meetings, assist providers with clinical procedures, ability to assist w/sterile technique, manage room cleaning, stocking and set up. As well as: room patients according to protocol, check routine vitals and point of care testing based on type of visit and surgical protocols, perform screening questionnaires and pain score, provide clear and timely observations to providers regarding patient issues. Actively communicate with patients regarding delays and wait times, some phlebotomy, label and reconcile lab specimens, participate in process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned/required. Qualifications/Requirements: Must have Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program. American Heart Association BLS certified and have a minimum of 1 yr. experience in an ambulatory setting. Bilingual preferred. Also, must be able to work in a complex environment and demonstrate competency is all electronic and medical systems/equipment in use. [cha010112]
