To coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.

• REQUIREMENTS
  Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
  • Official recognition as a CMA, CCMA or RMA through an approved accrediting agency within 6 months of hire in one of the following options:
    • Certified Medical Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) program.
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant: Certification by accredited CCMA program - National Healthcareer Association Registered Medical Assistant: Certification by accredited RMA program (American Association of Medical Assistants)
  Experience:
  • Previous work in a medical setting
  Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
  Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Current certification as CMA, RMA or CCMA
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
