NAU Urology Specialists is currently looking for a MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our growing team! This will be a full time position in our north locations (Round Rock and North Austin).

Position Description

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a urology Provider
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information in patients' charts
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
• Handle prescription authorizations and denials
• Schedule management and prep
• Facilitate communication and needs between Patient and Provider
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Preferred but not required - 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical clinic setting
• BLS certification required upon hire and must be kept current throughout employment
  
• Spanish preferred but not required
