Role Summary
The Materials Team Leader will support the Material Handlers by providing guidance and tools they need in order to be safe and productive. Responsible for supporting safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to KAMTEK’s plant standards and upholding the Magna Employee’s Charter. Key Responsibilities
Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs and conduct Team Safety Talks as required
Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter).
Exhibit a team oriented work ethic.
Coordinate and assign job responsibility for material handlers
Fills in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.)
Support any area that may need assistance, per Management’s direction.
Operates equipment (tugger, forklift, etc.) to assist with storage, tagging, transfer, loading and unloading of parts
Ensure daily pre-shift inspections and Layered Process Audits (LPAs) are completed
Monitor inventory levels in storage and work areas to ensure material availability in production Key Qualifications/Requirements
Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.

  • Ability to communicate with team members on all shifts and possess good mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adequately perform all above job requirements within the timeframe allotted to support the customer needs
  • Must be knowledgeable about the shipping and receiving process
  • Must have experience in forklift driving
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production demands
  • Ability to work in stressful situations Additional Information
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds and being able to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required.
TECHNICAL TRAINING: Successfully obtain KAMTEK forklift license.
OTHER: Safe work practices, general knowledge of mechanical operations, knowledge of shipping and receiving practices
