Nature of Work:

The University of Colorado Denver I Gates Biomanufacturing Facility at Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for Material / Administrative Coordinator. This full-time temporary position will provide material coordination to include receiving and handling the materials shipped to the Gates Biomanufacturing Facility (GBF) at Anschutz Medical Campus. The position will also serve as the first point of contact for in-person vendor delivery interactions, receiving, inspection of materials, prepping and labeling of materials, as well as stocking, inventorying, handling, and shipping the materials used in the facility. Some additional administrative functions of this position may include managing reception door, scanning, filing, typing and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

This position will report to the Director of Program Management and Supply Chain, Gates Bio manufacturing Facility.

Examples of Work Performed:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • General receiving and processing of all materials, documents, and equipment used at GBF
  • Understand when and how to creates all material labels to include GMP material, safety, and shipping labels
  • Maintains accurate electronic logs and transaction of all materials through the receiving, inventory, production and shipping processes according to FDA Good Document Practices (GDP).
  • Performs quality and technical specification inspections on incoming client and GMP materials
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance to ensure materials are inspected and processed in a timely manner
  • Cleans, packages, and labels materials according to Standard Operating Procedures and GMP requirements
  • Picks materials, assembles kits, and reconciles critical Operation’s materials
  • Prepares and ships materials domestically and internationally, as required
  • Accepts and signs for deliveries, including letters, packages etc. and distributes the items.
  • Performs and manages cycle count program
  • Assists SC Planning, Procurement, Project Management, Operations, and Quality personnel as required.
  • Performs administrative duties, as required
  • Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related material documentation.
  • Creates reports, analyzes data, and resolves problems related to material orders, receipts, inventory, shipments
  • Assists in expediting orders and may assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and scheduled delivery dates.
  • Assignments may require initiative regarding receipt discrepancies, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions, and inventory discrepancies.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $40,731 - $54,579.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • College Degree
  • One (1) year receiving and material/inventory control experience.

Substitution: College or university course work appropriate to the work assignment may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis

Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of material/inventory control experience.
  • Experience working in an office or manufacturing setting
  • Experience with triaging inquiries.
  • Material receiving experience
  • Experience in a controlled or highly regulated industry / Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical
  • Experience utilizing general office equipment (fax, copier, shredder, scanner, telephone, etc).

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
  • Ability to address multiple ongoing challenges that will be encountered while performing required job duties.
  • Detail oriented.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with the MRP System (Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains).
  • Personable, friendly, and able to work well under pressure, especially when assisting customers.
  • Ability to answer a variety of questions effectively and keep traffic moving.
  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written as well as presentation of data.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment including in provided garments
  • A team-oriented, self-starter capable of operating independently in a start-up environment.
  • Familiarity with the use office machines (e.g. printer, scanner, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service skills and aptitude
  • Comfortable performing administrative tasks
  • Must be able to handle and lift materials, as well as perform material preparation tasks, such as packaging and labeling.
