OVERVIEW
The Material Handler is responsible for following standard operating procedures to safely load and unload raw and finished materials to meet company’s requirements.
PAY:
$19.00/hour
$1.00 2nd shift differential
$1.50 3rd shift differential

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates forklift in a safe manner to remove product from production lines and store in designated area, as well as load and unload materials/finished goods. Performs tasks in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Completes production reports and reviews with shift/maintenance lead daily.
- Follows all GMP, food safety, safety policies, and procedures.
- May be required to complete/assist in safety, quality, and regulatory inspections as required.
- Completes paperwork for the following: tote production, organic sugar production, deliveries and shipments.
- Assists maintenance personnel as needed.
- Supports other positions and job functions as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCES
- Prior experience working in a material handler role required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working in a FDA or SQF regulated environment preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required

- PC skills required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership required
- Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to arrive to work on time and work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. repetitively.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; scoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Must be able to work under hot or cool, wet and sometimes-dusty, and loud conditions, dust mask, coveralls and, or hearing protection may be required.
