Primary Responsibilities
Material Handler I:
Pull, assemble, package, label and ship explosive/non-explosive materials according to quality paperwork, packslip and current 49CFR/IATA regulations.
Transport explosive/non-explosive materials to and from various production buildings and magazines, and log accordingly.
Create Freight Bills and DG Declarations for both hazardous and non-hazardous shipments.
Use of Fed-Ex and UPS Ship Manager hardware/ software to ship product.
Receipt and inspection of inbound materials.
Pull and stock production kits, MRO and line supplies.
Use ERP system to move materials for accountability and perform various material handling duties related to job task perform.
Verifies receiving, work order and shipping data for quality and accuracy.
Must be able to obtain certification in 49CFR/IATA for shipping and handling dangerous goods.
Must be able to pass forklift and golf cart competency examinations.
Ships various materials using Fed-Ex and UPS Ship Manager software.
Under general guidance of supervisor and transportation personnel, creates Bill of Ladings and schedules trucks for pick-up/delivery of inert and dangerous goods.
Must possess valid driver license and meet DOTrequirements.
Performs cycle counts and physical inventories of raw and finished materials.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Material Handler II:
Responsibilities and duties as outlined in Material Handler I.
May direct work of lower level Material Handlers.
Material Handler III:
Responsibilities and duties as outlined in Material Handler II.
May direct work of lower level Material Handlers.
Under general supervision, schedules high explosive traffic.
Must be familiar with government Bills of Lading
Material Handler I:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years related experience.
Material Handler II:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 –5 years related experience; Computer knowledge a plus.
Material Handler III:
High school diploma; Computer knowledge required.
5+years related experience.
