Purpose:
Responsible for the process of staging the needs of injection mold for manufacturing quality plastic products.
Responsibilities:
- Identify resin and colorants by part number and handling requirements.
- Understand proper mixing procedures (i.e., colorant, percent of regrind, etc.) as detailed on the Sheets/Set-up Sheets.
- Weigh material on scale and accurately record material move transactions.
- Keep material hoppers on machines at proper level and ensures machine is never out of material.
- Ensures machines are not mixed or loaded with more material than needed.
- Keep presses supplied with proper cartons and supplies.
- Fill in for operators during breaks and lunch.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Ensure that all cartons are labeled with proper product number date, shift, etc.
- Make sure that all production boxes and material containers are dated, labeled and covered.
- Remove finished goods from the press area to the designated area.
- Performs duties in conformance to company BMS as well as AS9100/ISO standards and procedures.
- Ensures the adherence to production safety and health standards, policies and procedures.
- Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift/move 55 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to use computer and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to perform math calculations to include percentages and decimals.
- Ability to push/pull and move pallets of material using provided pallet jack.
- Takes pride in cleanliness and an orderly workplace.
- Ability to work independently with or without direct supervision.
- Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to work with constant exposure to moving machinery and noise.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned.
