Siemens General Motion Control (GMC) is seeking a dedicated Campaign Manager (CM) to accelerate recent market share gains. The CM will be responsible for driving growth of general purpose and motion control drives by converting competitive drive customers to Siemens. The role is best defined as business development, but the CM will need to function at the highest levels of strategy development, sales engagement and marketing campaigns. A proven understanding of Siemens and competitive drives is required, specifically Rockwell Drives and associated automation suite of products; a broader industrial automation background is highly encouraged. Reports to Motion Control Director of Marketing to assure consistency of marketing approaches and programs. Designs and executes coordinated Marketing Campaign to attract and convert competitive customers and must demonstrate success in prior execution of same. Develops and leads own budget and business plan. Contributes to other marketing projects and may provide support in other areas. Works with other Segments (Factory Automation, Control Products etc.) to achieve maximum results. Accountable for the delivery of a competitive drive conversion plan via internal Business Unit resources (Application Engineers, Product Managers) and external Siemens Sales, Distributors, and Solution Partner channels. Successfully defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to acquire optimum efficiency. Uses existing customer data sources and resolves if external sources are required. Leads all elements of the campaign development process across appropriate mediums (mail, email, online advertising, web), ensuring compliance with Siemens Marcom standards. Coordinate event activity and lead generation. Optimally handle generated leads from all areas of the campaign. Use existing and develop new: collateral, demos, sales and training courses, multi-customer awareness and architecture events, customer specific proof of concepts to grow GMC sales. Provide up to date and accurate view of conversion and campaign status, budget and breakthroughs to key partners. Carry out concurrent and post analysis to report critical metrics and distribute learning for future activities. Completes competitor benchmarking for promotional activity and reports out regularly; adjusting plans as required. Execute marketing tactics - including but not limited to - direct mail, e-mail blasts, print and electronic collateral development, webinars, seminars, major event management and logistics, print and web placements, press releases etc. Travel approx. 30%. BS/BA in related field required, advanced degree preferred. 5-8 years of successful experience in Business Development and Campaign Management with successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as described herein. Business Development Consistent track record of developing business and competitive conversions in the Industrial Automation market. Must be able to craft and execute strategies to take market share from drive competitors. Leverages new and existing resources to prospect, qualify, validate and ultimately convert OEM’s and End Users. Works with product, sales and vertical groups to identify appropriate product and Siemens Value Propositions (VPs). VPs must resonate with customers and become pervasive in all collateral – web, brochures, briefs, campaigns etc. Utilizes existing lead management marketing tool to warehouse customer data and implement strategies as needed to execute marketing campaign(s). Defines lead scoring methodology to assure timely follow up by channels. Modules used include, but are not limited to, e-mail server, web analytics, data mining, and KPI’s used to measure campaigns and campaign tactics. While prior sales experience is not required, a thorough knowledge of customer sales cycle and conversion activities are. A proven understanding of Siemens and competitive drives is required, specifically Rockwell drives and associated automation suite of products; a broader industrial automation background is highly encouraged.
