  • Proven knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, GotoWebinar, SplashThat and other digital programs.
Amazon is seeking a talented, self-directed marketing leader to drive awareness and demand generation for Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the US Higher Education market. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business.

The Marketing Manager is an integral part of the Public Sector Field Marketing team. The Manager is responsible for developing and delivering aligned marketing programs and will interface directly with the Higher Education business and sales stakeholders.

This position can be based in any AWS office location. Amazon will provide relocation assistance from within the US only for this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and sales leaders on go-to-market strategy including market segmentation, messaging, marketing channels, and campaign execution.
  • Develop and execute aligned field marketing plans — including digital, content, and events — to drive demand generation and pipeline in support of Higher Education sales targets.
  • Leverage and tailor corporate-level product marketing campaigns and materials to accelerate and maximize results in Higher Education business.
  • Communicate regularly with internal business and sales leaders including regular updates with the broader Higher Education sales team.
  • Ensure Higher Education target customers, customer stories, and business priorities are top of mind in all marketing activities.
  • Earn trust and maintain strong relationships across the organization, working in conjunction with other marketing leaders and with peers.
  • Monitor and report on campaign results and effectiveness, including ROI and recommended changes as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to work independently and autonomously.
The right candidate has successful experience in results-driven marketing, specifically field marketing experience and an unbridled passion for technology, accountability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • MBA degree is a plus.
  • Experience marketing to or working with Higher Education institutions, including executive-level audiences.
  • Track record of developing and managing multiple marketing programs simultaneously.
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results.
  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
  • Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less and staying on budget.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, data-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent project management skills.
