The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development and coordination of company marketing strategies and supporting tactics related to the DVT Prevention, Pressure Injury Prevention, and Reprocessing divisions. This includes direction and development of Arjo’s market requirements across the appropriate Arjo US business lines and channels, and the development of downstream marketing programs. Directly leading Marketing Managers and staff, the selected candidate will have responsibility for ensuring achievement of annual sales and earnings targets.

Day-to-day Functions:

  • Lead the development of downstream business plans, market strategies, marketing communications, new product launches, and pricing strategies.
  • Seek out new business opportunities that would have a positive impact on the business.
  • Lead the commercial practice to ensure that the value proposition is clear, concise, and actionable, as well as supported by compelling materials.
  • Coach and lead Arjo’s Marketing team to ensure effective achievement of the business objectives and professional development of all team members.
  • Drive market research and intelligence gathering, including direct customer research as well as interacting with Sales, Clinical, and Service teams to understand market and customer needs.
  • Achieve annual department budget by ensuring appropriate resource allocation across the business and tracking return on investment of marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the Sales organization to ensure alignment on business strategies and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of related Marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of success managing marketing teams in the MedTech industry.
  • Experience with a matrix organization with international business partners preferred.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to grow the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with different functional areas both in United States and worldwide.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen to assess strategic opportunities and execute tactically.
  • Must have exemplary written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point (or equivalent software applications).
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 30%.
