Unit Description:MARKETING COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIESSocial Media Management- Manage Instagram, Twitter and Facebook account
- Create monthly content calendars
- Create content for social media including photography, videos, graphics, etc.
- Facilitated several social media giveaways each semester following social and Sodexo guidelines to increase engagement and followers
- Schedule all content and analyze/measure results using Hootsuite (provided by Sodexo)
- Monitor all platforms for customer chatter answering questions and concerns in a timely manner
- Use Facebook Ads Manager to promote posts such as Thanksgiving dinner sales
- Monitor OilerNation Parents Facebook page for chatter on Dining Services to answer questions and post information helpful to parents as well as Hugs from Home promotions
Event Planning- Plan the semester calendar for marketing including events, promotions, specials, sales, etc. based on Sodexo requirements, UF events, National Days and more
- Promote and implement events using flyers, posters, social media, Oiler Mobile App, email, Findlay Calendar and more
- Record event/promotion results and add notes on what to improve on for next time
Marketing- Create a semester marketing plan in PowerApps to plan out each semester and track goals
- Worked on Sodexo’s National Social Media team conducting research, creating presentations and presenting new topics in social media to the company
- Used Canva to create social media, event, signage, etc. graphics to promote Dining Services
- Created relationships with UF Marketing to have access to creating Oiler Mobile App notifications to send to students, fac/staff or parents, as well as Facilities to send out student emails
- Multiple tabling set ups selling meal plans, catering services or promoting Dining Services/@oilereats
Sales- Work with the Sodexo design team to update information and create new brochures each year and distribute brochures to appropriate places
- Work with the University of Findlay Human Resources team to distribute fac/staff meal plan information in their new hire packets. Plus, offered dining tours to new fac/staff for a free meal at Henderson or The Refinery
- Created and implemented Hugs from Home Sales by emailing parents, posting in the parents Facebook page and sending push notifications using Oiler Mobile app to parents and promoting our ecommerce website
- Came up with new Hugs from Home products to sell during Holidays such as Monster donuts for Halloween and worked with the Sodexo ecommerce team to add the correct product, photo, description and price to the website
- Create and implement meal plan and Derrick Dollar sales several times a semester by promoting on our ecommerce website
- Develop relationships around campus by delivering snack boxes to important clients and contacts while introducing new snacks and programs in dining
- Keeping the ecommerce website and University of Findlay’s Dining website updated with the correct information and products
Customer Satisfaction- Worked closely with the SPICE Committee to understand student concerns and answer questions. Helped implement their ideas through marketing
- Helped increase customer satisfaction by responding to comment cards and social media concerns in a timely manner
- Actively listened to survey results and shared comments with the appropriate manager to determine how we can improve or fix the problem. Then using the “You asked, we listened” messaging to show students what we did
- Created a new way for customers to text feedback directly to the marketing coordinator and respond using MyDtxt (not yet launched)
Employees- Promote the THX for making my day program in the dining hall and retail locations. Create certificates to present at Safety meetings to recognize employees
- Created and updated an employee Facebook page for employees to post and ask questions as well as share updates and positive feedback from students
- Created updates and newsletters to mail or email employees during breaks to keep them informed
Menus- Create daily menu boards for Henderson Dining Hall using SignApps to display correct menu information from the Bite App
- Update Refinery menu boards when needed
- Create menus and item identifiers for Catering events when needed
Requirements- Bachelor's degree required. Communication, Marketing or other related degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or social media.
Position Summary: The Customer Service Specialist may work in either a Food or Facilities operation. Their main function is to handle customer service interactions through either face-to-face, email or telephone communications. May operate a switchboard to route incoming calls to the appropriate party. The Customer Support Specialist may be required to record and document various client interactions for management follow-up, provide administrative duties for the front desk, guest services and similar facilities or locations . The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
General Responsibilities:- Handles customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone, routing incoming calls to the appropriate party, operating paging system, recording recurring problem areas.
- Provides immediate assistance to customers as requested.
- Maintains a method to document, track and research customer calls, data input, room inventory, etc
- Shares recurrent problems identified by customer input.
- Reviews statistics and trends with appropriate personnel.
- May respond to e-mail inquiries.
- May send written communications in response to customer comment forms.
- Identifies needs and makes recommendations for quality improvement that creates perceived value to customers.
- Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service and problem resolution.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, and entertainment.
- Makes and confirms reservations for hotel, transportation, restaurant, entertainment and/or tour reservations.
- Provides travel directions.
- May fulfill special service requests on an as needed basis. Multi-tasks and performs administrative duties as required.
- Complies with all Sodexo HACCP/OSHA, and/ or local policies and procedures related to all assigned work.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned; such as issue room keys, receive and transmit mail, etc

- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):- Generally in an indoor setting; however, may supervise outside activities and events.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
