SUMMARY:

The Marketing Automation Specialist (Programmatic Specialist I) is responsible for building and executing Boardriders, Inc. CRM prospect and retention programs so we know our customers and can anticipate and meet their customer journey path needs. Reporting to the CRM manager, the specialist will help increase lifetime value and find ways to keep customers engaged with the brands. The Marketing Automation Specialist will build personalized programs/workflows that best utilize email marketing & SMS best practices to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies for up to 9 brands within the Boardriders Inc., portfolio. The candidate will have the opportunity to work directly in a CDP to help refine and optimize prospect & customer CRM audiences. The Marketing Automation Specialist will collaborate closely with the Marketing Automation Strategist/Programmatic Specialist II to help develop tactical execution strategy for each brand and to execute campaigns aimed to increase revenue and customer engagement. This role also requires experience working in email marketing and familiarity with CDP platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, execute and manage a variety of D2C CRM drip campaigns across various tactics (email marketing, SMS) while hitting or exceeding program KPIs. This includes conceptualizing, building, testing, and de-ploying.
  • Monitor and take a proactive stance on automated campaign workflows to ensure campaigns are deploying without issue (accurate content and timely delivery)
  • Effectively communicate strategies and rationale for tactical approaches of each campaign
  • Spot opportunities for new tactics/improvements that lead to increased revenue and customer engagement
  • Be a platform expert, familiar with all optimization levers and features of the ESP
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying goals
  • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns pre-launch and once live
  • Collaborate with the Programmatic Specialist II to track campaign performance
  • Work with cross-functional teams on programmatic campaign delivery execution
  • Ensure data quality in CRM tools to support programmatic campaigns.
  • Keep up to date of current and new marketing automation industry trends, best practices, technologies and competitive landscape, etc

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

  • 2-4 years marketing experience in ecommerce with proven track record of developing and managing lifecy-cle marketing programs with a focus on D2C acquisition and retention
  • Experience working with a top tier / enterprise-level email marketing platform (i.e. Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Email Studio, Acoustic) in a self-service setting
  • Nimble and agile team member with the ability to quickly pivot to meet business objectives
  • Very strong analytical, organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Ecommerce analytics
  • Experience working with a CDP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as Google Apps including Slides, Sheets, Docs, etc
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the Huntington Beach, CA office full-time pending state, local, and company return-to-work COVID-19 guidance

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Adobe Campaign/Neolane preferred
  • Knowledge of current anti-spam laws and permiss
