Job Summary

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator coordinates and manages the development and production of the monthly newsletter, quarterly staff newsletter, website and mobile app, writes and edits member email communications and other internal and external communications. This person works closely with all members of the management leadership team and members of the Club.

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Liberal Arts or other field desired.
  • Graphic design education and/or experience.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Publisher.
  • Proficient with English grammar and possesses strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Dedication to providing an excellent member experience.
  • Flexibility to work occasional holidays.

Job Tasks/Duties

  • Writes, composes, and edits monthly newsletter and quarterly staff newsletter; collects information from writers; proofs contents for corrections and changes; responsible for design and layout of page format and cover design.
  • Design and distribution of all junior sport program booklets.
  • Responsible for all aspects of junior program online registration, including golf, tennis and swim team as well as getting all registrations loaded on the website, communicating registration lists to coaches, and assisting members with registration.
  • Establishes and creates print/web materials for all aspects of the Club.
  • Maintains Club website and mobile app as well as troubleshoots issues for members and staff.
  • Maintains email campaign database and updates information accordingly.
  • Promotes the Club on social media through use of a private and public Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter.
  • Attends weekly staff meetings across various departments to stay current on club activities and various departmental communication needs in addition to taking meeting minutes and distributing to staff.
  • Assists with development of annual Club calendar.
  • Promotion of events to increase attendance.
  • Development and updating of menus in the food and beverage department.
  • Takes photos of Club activity and events and on a frequent basis throughout the year.
  • Liaison to printing company for supplies and services needed for copiers leased within the Club.
  • Responsible for creating, sending out and distributing surveys on a frequent basis.
  • Assists all others in administration, as needed, with printing, labeling, laminating, flyers, signage, etc.
  • Collaboration with senior staff regarding annual board election.
  • Also responsible for setting up and maintaining the online voting system
  • Responds to member inquiries in a timely fashion and properly directs or assists them.
  • Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by the Membership Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
