Gator Dredging Marine Construction (Dredging) Project Manager
Immediate Position available for a Project Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team! Job Purpose: Represent the Company Management staff through Management of administrative aspects of a project including: Scheduling, processing of pay applications, Client communications.
Responsibilities for The Marine Construction Project Manager
- Accountability for all aspects of project execution
- Manage and provide technical direction to onsite staff to set and meet the client's schedule, goals, and objectives
- Regularly monitor the teams work and progress to maintain the above client's needs are being met
- Monitor quality practices daily, along with ongoing inspections to minimize the need for corrections and punch-list items.
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and quality
- Manage and prepare plans & submittals
- Manage and prepare payment applications and release of liens as needed
- Coordinate efforts as needed with municipal agencies
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills in directing and completing assigned work and can manage multiple projects at a time
- Responsible for reviewing invoices and maintaining budgets on assigned projects
- Scheduling marine construction projects
- Providing assistance & support to marketing, engineering & bid/estimating personnel as required
- Keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies related to job duties
- Other duties time to time as directed
Desired Knowledges, Abilities, Certifications, and Skills for The Project Manager:
- Ability to learn to plan, design, and review the work of others.
- Must be proficient in use of a PC and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Hypack/Dredgepack preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and interact professionally with Managers, team leaders and staff
- Able to prepare and submit clear, concise reports orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the general public.
- CPR/First Aid with BBP
- USACE QCS/RMA experience preferred
- OSHA 10 minimum; OSHA 30 preferred
- Primavera scheduling experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS For the Project Manager
- You must have at the minimum 3 years of experience in the Dredging Industry / Project Management
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Construction Managements preferred.
- Must be able to travel
- Boating or Equipment Certifications a plus
- Must maintain a valid Driver's license
- Experience with USACE projects preferred

- Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
