About the Role
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee the overall production process of electronic products for the electric power industry with direct reporting over Manufacturing Technicians and Shipping/Receiving personnel.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with electronics manufacturing with knowledge of an ERP system and have 4-6 years’ experience. You should be a demonstrated leader with effective communication skills. Ultimately, you will help us build products that address critical infrastructure around the globe. Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Program elements relevant to their team are understood, implemented, met, and continuously improved for best practice. Provide infrastructure and resources necessary for execution of the same and practical guidance in process development. Take proactive action to minimize risk in areas that may affect quality of product or process, the environment, or health, and safety of employees.
- Supervise a minimum of five direct report employees. Responsibilities include the approval of company-paid time off, weekly time summaries, job duties distribution, training plan administration, annual performance reviews, career path monitoring, succession planning, etc.
- Provide vital communication link between production staff and management in any area dealing with production.
- Supervise, train, and develop direct reports as well as Production Staff.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Human Resources and the Operations Manager on specific HR matters pertaining to production staff.
- Issue performance appraisals to Manufacturing Technicians, Electrical Technicians, and Shipping/Receiving.
- Take part in the interviewing process for production staff.
- Ensure Manufacturing, Process, and Testing changes are implemented in the production process.
- Monitor and oversee the Document Control process throughout production.
- Schedule production personnel and activities to meet customer needs.
- Monitor and oversee Inventory Control of components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; Associates Degree or higher preferred
- 4-6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Several years of production experience and understanding of electronic manufacturing practices.
- Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and think quickly on technical issues is essential.
- Good written and oral communication skills required.
- Basic troubleshooting skills a must.
- Decision-making skills and ability to work independently and as a team leader.
- MS Office experience including Access.
- ERP experience is a plus.
- Ability to work 1st shift immediately and move to 2nd shift within 6 months.
