We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Charlotte location.
MANUFACTURING MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a summary of the Primary Job Responsibilities. It is not to be considered as an all-encompassing list of job duties.

  • Coordinate and assign manufacturing (project and non-project) work tasks to MA and EA technicians.
  • Locate and evaluate prospective Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technicians.
  • Participate in Project Kickoff meetings and Assembly Kickoff meetings.
  • Prioritize tasks and adjust resource assignments based on project needs.
  • Participate in the creation of departmental documentation.
  • Review and approval of manufacturing personnel request for time off.
  • Monitor assigned project task hours and milestone dates.
  • Schedule meetings with personnel and other departments as needed.
  • Work effectively with other Department Managers to achieve corporate goals.
  • Participate in part nonconformance determinations.
  • Assist in overseeing of Quality department functions and personnel.
  • Write and conduct annual performance reviews for manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure members of the Manufacturing Department are following applicable SOPs, policies, and guidelines.
  • Monitor the performance, continual development, and training of Manufacturing Department staff.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment; experience managing others is preferred.
  • Experience in a field related to Machinery/Equipment manufacturing and assembly.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in basics of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Must be able to read and understand project schedules and utilize that information to assign resources.
  • Knowledge of various process improvement methods and lean manufacturing methods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational and Leadership skills.

EDUCATION*

  • Associates degree required with concentration in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology or a related field
  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related filed preferred
