Title - Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Salary - $90,000

Type of Position - Full-time, Network Position. Reports to Chief of Strategy and Innovation (CSI)

Remote - Third Future Schools, East Campus, Central Office 15540 E 6th Ave., Aurora, CO 80011 (Preferred but will consider remote if based outside of the Denver area including Colorado or Texas).

Hours - Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Background: Third Future Schools is a high performing charter school network currently serving 4000 PreK-8 students in two states, six cities, six schools with five separate authorizers. Third Future Schools began in Colorado in 2016 expanding to Texas in 2020 and has opened a school each year since inception with new targets of two schools per year through the year 2025. Rapid growth and expansion opportunities have driven the need to expand the office of Strategy and Innovation to continue to identify and secure funding and expansion opportunities. Funding and expansion opportunities are identified strategically with a keen focus on maximizing the impact of TFS’ high quality instructional model and Dyad Concept preparing students for a Year 2035 workplace and world.

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will serve as a direct report to the Chief of Strategy and Innovation (CSI) operating under minimal supervision with high expectations of the team member in this role executing the following responsibilities and skills:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support CSI in identifying and securing local, state and federal, and philanthropic grant opportunities
  • Support CSI with grant writing and tracking deadlines and deliverables for applications
  • Support CSI with expansion opportunity applications and deliverables
  • Research and discovery of charter school regulatory environments throughout the country
  • Maintain robust pipeline of expansion opportunities in multiple states for multiple years
  • Remain current on federal and state education policies to ensure TFS is optimizing maximum use of funding as well as established and prospective expansion opportunities
  • In collaboration with the CSI, research and discovery of national and local events to present the TFS Solution and results
  • Creating and maintaining contact list of key stakeholders at state and local levels (e.g. CDE, TEA, ESCs, ISDs, etc)
  • Work closely with CSI in monitoring federal and state legislative sessions and rule making
  • In collaboration with CSI, support Communications department with content for website, press releases, presentations, and marketing materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Experience:

  • Two or more years in educational leadership position with successful track record
  • In-depth knowledge of charter school operations and value proposition for students served
  • In-depth knowledge of educational issues and landscape at the state and federal level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
