AgFirst is seeking an experienced leader in Security Operations and Cyber Defense Manager to manage the security operations, cyber defense and incident management for AgFirst. The successful candidate will manage a team of Security Analyst, Security Engineers, and assigned external security partners. Must maintain strong vendor relationship with existing MSSP provider to ensure overall security posture is maintained and that best practices are evaluated, implemented, and followed as per documented policies and directives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of information security analyst and engineers.
- Effectively manage relationship with Security Services provider to ensure AgFirst security response and remediation is performing at the highest level
- Develop, implement, and maintain security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information security across the enterprise adhere to recommended frameworks and guidance
- Implement processes and methods for evaluating and reporting non-compliance to information security standards or frameworks
- Facilitate processes to remediate non-compliant environments to compliant environments
- Conduct studies within and outside the organization to ensure compliance with standards and currency with industry security norms
- Evaluate and select security applications and systems
Required:
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in managing a security operations team or similar experience in the security or technical services field.
- Requires technical knowledge in security systems administration and security tools, combined with security best-practices and procedures.
- Organizational skills for planning and prioritizing work along with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practices such as SOX, ITIL, NIST, and FFIEC for systems security and implementation practices.
- One or more security or IT relevant certifications preferred, (e.g. CISSP, GSEC, CEH, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ITIL Foundations).
