  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer science or aerospace engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of multi-disciplinary team leadership
  • Experience in product lifecycle management from requirements definition to product sustaining
  • Experience in communicating with technical teams to collect requirements, describe product features and technical designs
  • 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial sUAS operator.
  • Experience with data processing solutions and annotation tools
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to write clear and persuasive papers
  • Experience working in an operational setting, including field operations or operational planning functions
  • Knowledge and experience in program management techniques

As the Manager, Operations & Testing, you will lead all technical aspects of our collection solutions and will validate and test our products prior to release; you will gather, asses, and translate data requirements into aerial collection tolls and will work across Prime Air program to define, develop and solve unique data collection challenges. You will also lead all airborne, manned- aviation collection operations.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building relationships and earning trust at all levels, and is a creative technical leader with superior analytical abilities. Also, the ideal candidate will have experience in drone systems architecture, including integration of all subsystems, payloads, data collection, and post- flight processing. To be successful in this role, you must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and continually work to improve the system performance, ease- of use and efficiency.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of program managers, tech support and flight operators
  • Drive requirements gathering from internal customers and own Special Operations execution: Align internal and external efforts, design solution, plan and execute aerial collection
  • Lead all general aviation collection operations including product specifications and testing, vendor management, internal customer relations and collection operations
  • Support new product introduction: conduct validation tests and create standards, support release process and integration into standard operations
  • Monitor solutions implementation and insure adaptation into standard operations
  • Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or other relevant technical discipline
  • Commercial pilot certification
  • Formal flight test training at a test pilot school or equivalent developmental, engineering and certification flight test experience and training
  • Experience in the design, qualification, production and deployment of complex electro-mechanical systems for Drone System environments
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for full software development life cycle
  • Experience managing remote employees
