Position Overview:
The Manager of Liquor Acquisition will support the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and execution of liquor-related acquisitions as Gopuff rapidly accelerates its expansion efforts across the United States. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position will be based in the Company’s Philadelphia, PA headquarters and will report to the Company’s Director of Liquor Acquisition. It may require frequent travel.
Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with members of the Finance, Real Estate, Legal, Strategic Operations and Government Affairs teams;
• Establish and maintain relationships with small business owners, business brokers, lawyers and other deal referral sources;
• Identify, analyze, value and execute liquor acquisitions;
• Organize and coordinate the due diligence process from offer through closing and integration;
• Support the negotiation of purchase agreements alongside internal and outside legal counsel in parallel with due diligence;
• Help develop and implement the Company’s strategy for bringing alcohol capabilities to every location feasible;
• Manage deal pipeline reports and regular updates for various stakeholders throughout the organization; and
• Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.

Key Requirements

• Ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in sales, business development, management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, or other related field;
• Experience sourcing, managing and executing business transactions preferred;
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills;
• Detail-oriented, well-organized and enjoys solving complex problems;
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization;
• A self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking;
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization and with outside service providers and referral sources; and
• Must be comfortable working within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
