The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO’s Human Resources department invites applications for a full-time Human Resources Manager.


Human Resources at the NYISO plays an integral role in ensuring the organization can achieve both its short and long term business objectives, acting as a strategic business partner and providing critical leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of sound policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the engagement of a high performing workforce.


The Human Resources Manager will lead organization-wide efforts to help further define and reinforce the areas of compensation and benefit administration and should have significant experience designing and managing benefit plans, as well as managing compensation benchmarking and outcomes, while also serving as a business partner for a group of NYISO teams. As the strategic business partner, the individual will work collaboratively with leadership from those teams to identify needs and take ownership for providing solutions.




Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required; Master's degree desirable.
  • A minimum of seven years progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience developing, implementing and managing Compensation and Benefit Programs .
  • Experience participating in, developing and implementing Diversity & Inclusion strategies desirable
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
