The Business Systems Transformation and Acceleration organization enables the productivity of our sales and go-to-market organizations through intelligent workflows, reliable data and scalable systems. We partner with groups across the company including Product, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Analytics to build critical systems and enable the business to move faster. This team builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for our platform and grow revenues across our business lines. About the Role
We are looking for a Data Operations and Governance lead who will be a member of DoorDash’s Business Transformation and Acceleration (BTA) group. Your mission will be to transform and manage our data so that it is meaningful for our users, and is available for insights and critical processes. You will work closely with our BTA, Product Management, Business Applications and Sales Strategy & Operations teams to design and scope the projects you work on, serving as the business process and systems expert on Master Data management, Data operations and Data governance (hygiene, quality, and enrichment). The execution of projects will require you to use Tableau, Snowflake, Salesforce, SQL, and G Suite productivity tools at a minimum.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Define data elements and establish policies and procedures that enable successful collection and accuracy of our critical business data Ensure DoorDash maintains a cohesive view of our Go-To-Market Merchants and businesses for use in targeting, territory management, and contracting while continuing fast growth Ensure tools like Salesforce work efficiently for our local and enterprise segments across product lines, and personas Improve the 360 degree view of our Merchants and businesses to drive insights to our internal teams from Marketing to Support. Work closely with DoorDash’s Internal groups to define, implement and communicate data governance and operations frameworks Manage, grow and develop a strong team focused on data operations, data quality measurement and reporting, supporting cleanliness, and adhoc needs at the speed of the business Review the business processes and work flows needed for strengthening data management and play a major role in identifying, cleaning and assuring the data. Build reporting and monitoring of our most critical data and show how initiatives are driving step change improvement in those numbers We’re excited about you because… Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience Deep understanding of relational databases, Master Data, Data Governance, Data operations, and Data quality measurement Highly proficient in business process analysis, and data model, process flow and functional architecture documentation Highly proficient in Salesforce structure including Account, Lead, Contact, and ownership/territory models Experience with data migration, and ETL, SQL, and Data profiling Experience managing a team of direct reports and scaling through vendor resources You have structured critical thinking and problem solving skills You get excited about data models, use cases, ERD’s and translating them to business and technology partners You are highly analytical with strong attention to detail When you are handed a mess, you enjoy and take pride in creating organization You aren’t afraid to change a process or drive alignment to a change even when its outside your direct ownership. You know how to balance speed and agility while driving towards a strategic long term roadmap.
