Advanced Analytics is responsible for applying quantitative methodologies, techniques and tools to develop best in class analytic solutions that solve complex business problems.
- Works with stakeholders to identify business opportunities, goals, or objectives
- determines if objectives can be met using an analytical approach and develops hypothesis.
- Identifies key data requirements and acquires data
- harmonizes, rescales, and cleans data for statistical techniques
- applies data visualization techniques to evaluate data for model specification etc.
- Builds custom quantitative models by applying advanced statistical methods such as causal and predictive modeling, forecasting, data mining, simulation, and/or optimization.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and determines need for reformulation.
- Interprets results of quantitative models, identifies trends and issues, and develops alternatives to support business objectives.
- Demonstrates ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information to a variety of audiences and mediums.
- Partners with stakeholders and technologist to implement/automate/operationalize models into day-to-day business decision making.
Accountabilities in this role
This role will be part of the Enterprise Data Organization, leading the Enterprise Data Quality team responsible for advancing and maturing data quality capabilities. This role will partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and other stakeholders to:
- Create and Execute on the data quality strategy and develop data quality capabilities to achieve trusted data
- Drive innovation, and leverage emerging technologies to deliver business capabilities
- Establish Data Quality Index and drive improvement for prioritized data domains
- Diagnose business needs, analyze business processes, data flows, IT / technical artifacts and extract understanding of how the system or business process works as input for model development. Translate the business problem into a technical model.
- Collaborate within and across organizations in the support of Data Governance and Quality
- Identify and communicate complex information, potential upstream/downstream impacts, and opportunities in order to educate and encourage leaders to take action.
- Explore structured and unstructured data across various data domains to develop insights and algorithms to automate data defect identification and data correction recommendations
- Lead the capture and maintenance documentation of work processes
- Build processes and tools to help monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Manage a team of data quality analysts, data scientists and data engineers to deliver on the data quality strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 4+ years experience in related field preferred
- Advanced Degree in related field preferred
- Strong analytics and data management skillset, including the ability to collect, synthesize, and interpret information from multiple sources as well as provide easy to understand recommendations
- Prefer experience in Data Movement and Processing Technologies and Cloud Data Warehouse technologies including but not limited to experience with GCP, Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Apache Spark
- Understanding of machine learning techniques such as artificial neural networks, clustering, and decision tree learning
- Strong experience of Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Agile, DevSecOps delivery, and continuous learning required
- Understanding of cloud data engineering and integration concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Cardinal Heath business processes and systems preferred
- Experience in statistical and data mining techniques (like boosting, generalized linear models/regression, random forests, trees, and social network analysis) are nice to have
