POSITION: Maintenance Technician I JOB DESCRIPTION: Principally responsible for maintenance duties required in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involved ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Maintaining and operating all mechanical equipment including devices used for heating and air-conditioning. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Graduate or GED equivalency. Appropriate EPA certification is required. Experience: Minimum of three years of work experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or similar function. Possess a thorough knowledge of equipment, machinery, and building systems (including HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and have the ability to perform minor repair work on such systems. Driving / Travelling: Rotation "on-call" status required to assigned property at a moment's notice. Must have reliable transportation and auto insurance to meet this need. Equipment / Machinery / Tools: An employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following tools: Emergency Maintenance: Take on-call rotation as required for emergency duty.
