MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

This position is responsible for providing our Convenience Stores with efficient, safe, and effective maintenance repairs while maintaining a friendly, customer service oriented approach when interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers. This position helps keep our business operating. The successful candidate will demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, inclusion, and safety of others.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Completing light electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs, and making adjustments as needed.
- Successfully troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and plumbing problems while paying attention to details and accuracy.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Facilitating repairs by contacting service vendors for materials.
- Wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) when needed.
- Working safely and reporting any unsafe conditions to management.
- Working alone for varying period of times
- Driving to various store locations throughout the division, and possibly outside the division.
- Other duties assigned by management.
- Representing the Maintenance Department professionally at all times.
The qualified candidate should have:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently.
- At least 3 years of previous electrical/mechanical/plumbing experience.
- Construction/carpentry/painting skills required.
- Ability to use hand/electric cart, ability to use power/hand tools.
- Physical requirements include standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, lifting or moving up to 80 lbs.
- Previous maintenance experience in a Convenience store type environment a plus.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A technical degree in a skilled trade, construction, or repair would be a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work an extended period of time on your feet.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license
