Maintenance Technician 1 (Temporary) Details

What You’ll Do

At HELP USA, we take great pride in providing our residents with a clean and well-maintained living space. We can only do this with a great maintenance team. As a Maintenance Tech 1 with HELP, you’ll be part of the team that keeps one of our affordable housing communities clean and safe at all times. You’ll clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the property and complete assigned work orders and repairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining leasing office, hallways, public and common areas, back of the house areas, sidewalks, public walkways, stairways, and garden areas in a neat, clean, and attractive condition.

  • Compacting and removing trash and debris from trash rooms, trash areas, compactors, community areas, etc.

  • Assisting in process of making vacant apartments rent-ready and performing turnkey work as required.

  • Maintaining high customer service standards and responding quickly to resident requests to minimize and resolve problems and complaints.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Valid US Driver’s license.

  • Ability to use general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, pressure washers, blowers, painting equipment, chemicals, snow and ice removal equipment, refrigerant tools and recovery equipment, landscaping equipment, etc.

  • Ability to lift and move 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work at heights over 8 feet.

It would be helpful (but not required) if you have:

  • At least a year of experience in maintenance/building trades, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, carpentry, sheetrock, tile, etc.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
