Maintenance Tech / Automotive Plant

Job IntroductionTo support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.Major Responsibilities- Attain safety, quality and productivity goals
- Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems
- Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion
- Obtain training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements
- Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations
- Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software
- Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
- Attend training as required
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis
- Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
- Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment
- Participate in Continual Improvement activities
- Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Education- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience as a machine repair/electrician experience or minimum 4 years experience in a technical service/repair non-trainee/apprentice role
- Associate’s Degree or Certification in Machine Repair or Electrical preferred
- Forklift License required

- Able to work at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
Work Environment- The work environment is primarily manufacturing plant and is characterized by temperature extremes; loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic.
- The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
- Job responsibilities include heavy lifting (75 pounds), working at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
- Personal tools may be required
- Overtime as required.
