Summary:

Supports general resort operations and maintenance function by managing the general upkeep of the resort by directing and performing preventive maintenance procedures and maintaining resort quality standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensures overall unit interior and common area functionality by performing all phases of resort maintenance including but not limited to preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance and requested maintenance.
  • Hires, trains, disciplines and terminates maintenance staff; oversees the implementation of and adherence to WorldMark policies, procedures and standards.
  • Develops, assigns and directs weekly schedules and daily duties of maintenance staff;
  • Manages all financial
    aspects of the maintenance department including budgeting, inventory, reporting, etc.; responds efficiently and courteously to guest service requests; supervises one maintenance Supervisor and 4-6 employees responsible for resort unit interior/exterior and grounds.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural
    manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present ideas before groups or individuals.
  • Ability to give high priority to customer service; ability to solve problems without additional guidance.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • CPR certified or in the process of attaining.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Possess or be in the process of earning Certified Pool Operators designation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Indoors with exposure to excessive noise from heavy equipment, dust, fumes, and vibrations at least fifty percent (50%) of the time.
  • Outdoors, exposed to potential temperature extremes of heat and/or cold at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the time.
  • Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
  • Responsibilities frequently require an adjusted work schedule, evenings,
    weekends and holidays to meet resort operating demands.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Four years related maintenance experience.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
