We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Controller to join our team in Broomfield, CO.
Summary:The Maintenance Controller reports directly to the Quality Control Manager. The MX controller is responsible for all maintenance accomplished on Mountain Aviation Aircraft in conjunction with the quality control team. The Maintenance Controller contributes to safety, reliability, and economy by assisting the manager with daily return to service activities, record reviews, internal audits and record-keeping requirements by effectively utilizing processes, procedures, databases, & electronic software. This will be a full-time hourly office position in a desk-cubicle setting.
Weekends and Holidays will be required as our operation is 24/7.
Salary: Full-time $20-26/hr. Plus OT
Essential Functions
- Approve aircraft for return to service
- Take aircraft out of service
- Assist with work orders
- Review & complete log entries and paperwork
- Communicate with crew members with issues that arise and coordinate a plan to either fix the issue or defer the issue
- Act as the liaison between Operations & Maintenance, keeping each team informed of maintenance status and timelines
- Maintain current and accurate aircraft maintenance status in FOS
- Perform Records reviews and audits
- Ensure all maintenance performed is in accordance with FAA and company manual requirements.
- Communicate with all company departments the current status of all aircraft with regards to Airworthiness status of company aircraft
- Coordinate all items required for return to service of AOG aircraft that are outside of company MX locations
- Coordinate resolution for deferred discrepancies with company maintenance or contracted maintenance vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain a good client relationship with aircraft owners and aircraft maintenance clients
- Recommend policies and procedures within maintenance department and interdepartmental procedures
- Assist DOM & QCM with updating and maintaining aircraft maintenance tracking databases
- Other duties assigned by managers, CEO, or CFO

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable in all provisions of the GMM and those portions of the GOM relevant to maintenance.
- Knowledgeable in the details of the Operations Specifications that are relevant to maintenance.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance requirements pertaining to FAR Part 135 and other applicable regulations necessary for the proper performance of duties.
- Sufficient training in programs necessary to ensure compliance and the ability to supervise properly.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and use time effectively and maintain a strict attention to detail.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with inspecting satellite or contract maintenance facilities as needed
- Maintain a good client relationship with aircraft owners and aircraft maintenance clients
- Recommend policies and procedures within maintenance department and interdepartmental procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the DOM
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with all provisions of Mountain Aviation’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Knowledgeable in the details of the Operations Specifications that are relevant to maintenance
- Experience with the inspection programs associated to the types of aircraft Mountain Aviation operates
- Knowledgeable in maintenance requirements pertaining to FAR Part 135 and other applicable regulations necessary for the proper performance of duties
- Sufficient training in programs necessary to ensure regulatory compliance including safety
- Strong comfort with system processes and ability to successfully research and resolve issues, both from a system and accounting perspective
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality
- Demonstrates ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Demonstrates and interest in a long-term aviation career
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently

Minimum Qualifications:
- Be able to read, write and understand the English language.
- Intermediate to advanced skillset in MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Basic Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Tracking.
- Associated degree or equivalent trade school formal education.
- Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate (A&P)
- 3 years experience as a Certified Mechanic on Citation Jets or similar aircraft or 3 years experience with a certified airframe repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return-to-service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Experience with CAMP and FOS software
Work Conditions:
- FAR Part 135 aircraft maintenance in an office environment working indoors.
- Long periods of sedentary activity working at a desk and utilizing a computer.
- Ability to work around aircraft, engines, heavy equipment and attend training as needed.
- Must be available weekends, evenings, and for overtime as scheduled- this is an hourly position
- Must be available on-call overnight as scheduled
- Reside within 1 hour of BJC airport
Physical Requirements
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Good vision and depth perception
- Ability to be awake and alert during non-traditional office hours
